Financial Aid Program for Protection and Survival of Cultural Heritage

As of 29 December 2017, İzmir Development Agency launched the Financial Support for the Protection and Survival of Cultural Heritage. Within the scope of the program, where projects will be supported to protect the immovable cultural assets, to improve their current use, and to function in order to improve the social, cultural and tourism infrastructure in the region, a total of 15 million TL is planned to be used for successful projects.

The main purpose of the Financial Support Program for the Protection and Survival of Cultural Assets is “protection, improvement, enhancement of urban life and tourism with the protection of immovable cultural assets, increasing the quality of urban life and tourism competitiveness”, and its special purpose is “Protection of immovable cultural assets, improving the current use, social in the region, Implementation in line with projects approved by the regional conservation board for the purpose of functioning to improve the cultural and tourism infrastructure, increasing the quality of urban life and competitiveness by making it the attraction center of the region ”.

Projects aimed at the Project Design Component and Small Scale Infrastructure Component priorities determined as two components of the program will be supported.

Projecting Component
Priority 1: Preparing survey, restitution and restoration projects and engineering projects connected to these projects for the protection and improvement of the registered immovable cultural assets, and the engineering projects related to these projects, and getting them ready for implementation by obtaining the conservation regional board approval.

Priority 2: Preparing application projects for the protection and functional development of archaeological sites, archaeological sites and interaction areas, and getting them ready for implementation by obtaining the conservation region board approval.

Small Scale Infrastructure Component
Priority 1: Implementing necessary practices in line with the restoration projects approved by the conservation region board for the protection and improvement of registered immovable cultural assets, and to function in a way to develop the social, cultural and tourism infrastructure in the region.

 

Priority 2: Implementing necessary practices in line with projects approved by the conservation region board, which includes regulations for the protection and functional development of archaeological sites, ruins and interaction areas.

Projects that will contribute to the realization of the general and specific objectives of the financial support program and fall within the scope of at least one of the related component priorities are considered eligible.

Within the scope of the program, Municipalities, Metropolitan Municipality Departments, Subsidiaries of municipalities with legal personality, public institutions, university rectorships, public institutions, associations with associations with central or legal branches, foundations and their superior organizations, cooperatives and associations are eligible applicants. As of 29 December 2017, İzmir Development Agency launched the Small Scale Infrastructure Financial Support Program for Improving Social Cohesion. Within the framework of the new financial support program created to cover all of İzmir, it is aimed to use 10 million TL of resources through successful projects.

The purpose of the Small-Scale Infrastructure Financial Support Program for Improving Social Cohesion was determined as “Improving the infrastructure and capacity of institutions and organizations to strengthen groups that require special policy” in order to “improve social cohesion in İzmir”.

Projects that will contribute to the realization of the program objective will be supported by projects that fall within the scope of at least one of the priorities.

Priority 1: Improving the quality and infrastructure of aged care and rehabilitation services with innovative methods, strengthening accessibility to these services

Priority 2: Improving the service capacity related to rehabilitation of drug addicts, integration into the society and protection of risk groups

Priority 3: Strengthening the education infrastructure for the disabled, increasing the employability of individuals with disabilities

Priority 4: Strengthening the infrastructure and service delivery capacity to ensure social cohesion of immigrants

Priority 5: Children and youth; establishing / strengthening structures in which skills for scientific-technological research, sports, art and design can be developed

Only non-profit institutions and organizations will be eligible applicants under the Small-Scale Infrastructure Financial Support Program for Improving Social Cohesion.
